Three Different Types of Polvoron

Carla and I decided to make three different types of polvoron - regular, pinipig and peanut butter. There is actually one basic recipe for the three polvorons which makes the regular. You just add other ingredients to the regular to make it pinipig and peanut butter flavored. Watch our video to learn the easy steps!

Polvoron
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 cups powdered milk
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup butter
Procedure:
1. Put flour in a pan and constantly stir until light brown.
2. Transfer browned flour to a mixing bowl. Immediately mix in the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and make sure that there are no big bits.
3. Use a polvoron moulder to mold your polvoron and wrap with japanese paper for separate wrapping and nice presentation.

Pinipig:
1. Use the basic recipe and mix in ¾ cup of toasted pinipig. Add or lessen pinipig according to preference.

Peanut butter Polvoron:
1. Add 1/2 cup of crispy peanutbutter to the regular polvoron recipe. Make sure to mix it in evenly and well.
